Pure Therapy Clinic Guidelines Covid - 19

Covid- 19 Clinic Guidelines

I have undertaken a thorough risk assessment in relation to my working practises at Pure Therapy incorporating the most up to date government and insurance guidance as well as advice from my professional therapy association.

As a result I will not be carrying out any treatments to the face including facials or facial waxing. Any treatments that include facial work such as Aromatherapy massage, Indian Head massage or Lymphatic Drainage massage will be adjusted accordingly. I have also made the decision not to carry out any manicure treatments for the time being.

I can assure my clients that I have their safety as a priority but would respectfully ask that my clients take into consideration their health when attending a treatment. This is the new ‘normal’ and my health and my husbands health who is in a high risk category is also a priority. I am aware that a great deal of trust will be required on both sides.

Please do not attend your appointment if you are feeling at all unwell, especially if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms that can include:

Persistent cough, fever, loss of taste or smell

Likewise if you have been in contact with anyone that has been unwell, self isolating or suffering with symptoms relating to Covid-19 in the last 14 days please rearrange your appointment.

I have relaxed my cancellation policy but would respectfully ask that you give as much notice where possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your treatment.

I ask that you wear a face mask or covering when attending your appointment.

Please arrive for your appointment alone, bring minimal outdoor clothing and bags with you and leave jewellery at home.

Please wash your hands throughly in the bathroom on arrival at the clinic, there is also plenty of alcohol hand gel available.

My reception and waiting area has been rearranged to adhere to social distancing guidelines

Appointments can be made over the phone or email, walk in appointments will not be accepted. I will be informing clients of these guidelines on booking and welcome any questions that you might have.

Please arrive for you appointment with a few minutes to spare to avoid any congestion in the waiting area. There will be a form to fill in when you arrive for your appointment and I hope that you will not mind if your temperature is taken on arrival with a non contact thermometer as an extra precaution.

Please be assured that communal areas are cleaned with an alcohol based cleaner at regular intervals including, door handles, handrails and bathroom facilities.

Over and above my normal high standard of cleanliness within the treatment room:  I will be allowing 30 minutes between appointments to ventilate the treatment room, clean the hard surfaces, equipment and card machine. As normal I will change the towels on the treatment couch between clients after throughly cleansing the massage table and face hole.

As your therapist I will be wearing a face mask and or visor for you welfare and will as normal wash my hands thoroughly before and after each treatment.

Unfortunately I will not be able to supply refreshments at the clinic so would highly recommend that you bring your own water bottle to your appointment.

Please pay by card or BACS wherever possible

I will not be able to treat clinically highly vulnerable clients: They include those who:

Have had an organ transplant

Are having Chemotherapy or antibody treatment for cancer, including immunotherapy

Having targeted cancer treatments

Have blood or bone Marrow cancer

Have a bone marrow or stem cell transplant in the past six months

Have been told by a doctor that they have severe lung condition: severe asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD

Taking medications such as steroids

Have a serious heart condition and are pregnant.

Caution and further guidance will be applied to anyone suffering from:

Lung Conditions

Heart Disease

Diabetes

Chronic Kidney Disease

Liver Disease

Parkinsons, Motor Neurone and Multiple Sclerosis

Pregnancy - midwife consent needed.

My main priority as always is your safety and your comfort to enjoy some much needed relaxation time. I really hope to offer the same high standard of treatment with the new ‘normal’ and look forward to seeing you all soon
